Kayennat's and Khizer's Wedding: The Reception (2)

This edition of K&K's wedding is dedicated to Kay's outfit! 

It was purchased from Roshan's, Lajpat Nagar, South Delhi, India. All of the wedding outfits were bought in one trip that she, mommy and Nuzhah took to India.

It's such a beautiful dusky pink colour. 

Kayennat: I am very picky when it comes to everything so when I walk into a shop I know if I am going to find something within the first few minutes. I generally walk in, walk around and then know if I want to leave or stay longer. With Roshan's, I had read about it online, so when we went to Delhi, it was on my mind to visit them. 

All the bridal outfits are on the underground floor at Roshan's so we walked in, found some stuff that we liked in the normal section, walked downstairs and I found my outfit within 5 minutes. It was the colour of the lehenga that attracted me to it initially, I saw it and knew it  was what I wanted. The rest of the time we spent in the store was haggling (Nigar's outfit was also from there, but more on that on a later post). Since we were in India for only 2 weeks, we had a time constraint therefore I chose to have the lehenga as it was from the store instead of having it custom made from scratch. The blouse was super low cut ( I don't know why, but all the blouses are so low cut in India, and the tailors thought we were weird for asking for higher necklines!), so they assured me they'll add fabric and embroidery to it to match the rest of the blouse. Once it was completed, you couldn't tell that it neckline was made more modest after. 

The Lehenga skirt was 6 kilos and the scarf/dupatta was 5 kilos! I didn't take that into consideration while purchasing as I was too excited at the time. It hit me when I tried it on at home a couple of weeks before the wedding. However this didn't inhibit me from dancing and roaming around at the reception. 

My bangles set was made by the lovely guy at Satt Kartar Bangles, Karol Bagh. He was so patient and took his time and just put up with out antics without being agitated. I love it when shop offers excellent customer service and this was by no means a high end store. It was a very basic, busy and small store in the market and yet the service we were offered didn't feel like so. Would recommend anyone go there! 

Isn't she just the most gorgeous bride!
