HAIR DIARIES: DAY 1+ DAY 2

I thought it'll be fun to document my hair once a day from one wash day till the next (typically 7 days for me), so you guys can see what my hair looks like in between and maybe it will convince some of you to wash your hair less often!

I didn't take a picture of day 1 as I just washed my hair, dried it and went to bed. These are the products I used:
L'oreal Ever Rich Nourishing and Flowing Shampoo and Conditioner
I applied Organix Hydrating Macadamia Oil on towel dried hair and dried my hair with a hair dryer.
Tied in a top knot with a scrunchie and went to bed.

Day 2:

Woke up and curled my hair with my GHD straighteners. No products used.

I look a pale as the sun was pretty bright in my room today. Also this picture was taken at the end of the day.

At Night:

Tie hair up in a loose top knot and secure with a scrunchie:

There's a lot of scrunchie haters out there, and I just don't get it.
I constantly read comments on twitter when someone spots a scrunchie out in public. Yes a scrunchie isn't the most fashionable hair accessory out there but it doesn't claim to be. It certainly isn't the most offensive accessory by any standards. It's a practical accessory that's gentle and doesn't tug at your hair and prevents unnecessary breakage as caused by regular elastic hair bands (even the metal free ones). The scrunchie also doesn't affect your hair style; you know that dent you get in your hair when you take out the elastic? You just don't get that line with the scrunchie!

It's a super effective way for tying up your hair when you need your hair out of your face so great for cooking and exercising and while walking in the wind and your hair is being blown all over the place.

So if you're a scrunchie hater well just get over it already?

  1. I love the waves in your hair. I wish I was able to tie bun at night to get those wavy hair, my hair are too long to be secured in any band/scrunchie. If I tie high bun it slips down, too much of hair weight.

    1. Thank you :) I get the waves in by using my GHD straighteners to curl my hair. The scrunchie is to keep my hair off my face when I sleep and my bun also slips a lot! I have to redo it a million times as my hair is pretty heavy and a bit too soft for its own good :)
