QUICK FACE OF THE DAY featuring Mac Mehr

I felt a little pale today so decided to add a bit of bronzer to warm my cheeks and go for a bright(er) lip. I used Mac Mehr. Now this is a lipstick I have a love-hate relationship with. It is sometimes a bright pink on me and sometimes very purple looking (not a flattering purple, If I wanted purple lips I would wear a purple lipstick) It's also a very horrible dry and almost crurmbly texture (This lipstick is a matte texture but I don't have dry lips). I hadn't used it a for a little while and today it reminded me all that I hate about it. 

Mehr is one of those lipsticks that are pushed at desi skin tones but in all honesty it's one you can skip! After an hour of having it on I had to take it off and replace with Bobbi Brown Soft Rose (I carry an whole wardrobe of lipsticks with me on a regular basis....). It feels like a very very cheap lipstick. It is pigmented but there's nothing redeeming about this lipstick at all. It's also one that would wash out darker skinned girls; I'm a Mac NC42, Bobbi Brown Warm Natural/Honey/ Nars Sheer Glow Barcelona and I can JUST about get away with it.

I know this is well loved among the desi community but I just cant like it!
