Oxblood nails are pretty synonymous with the Autumn/Winter season, and while Nigar wears them pretty much all year round (I would say they are her signature nails), we thought we'd do a roundup of some of our favourites. All shown with 2 coats and no top coat. You can see how shiny formulas have become.
First up; Nigar's favourite. She loves this one so much she has more than one bottle of it. Barry M Red Wine.
Revlon Parfumerie in Bordeaux. A great formula and scented once dried. I love the bottles of this range. Just beautiful.
Another Barry M beauty in Crush. A matte formula but I'd say it's more of a soft leather look.
Last up: LA Colors in Berry. This one is a "sheer" formula, but pretty nonetheless.
Oxblood nails are deep, dark, and a bit vampire like. What's not to love? If you have trouble painting your nails read our guide here: How to paint your nails perfectly everytime.
My personal favourite is Maybelline Burgundy Kiss but didn't have it on me today to re-photograph so you'll have to make do with an older swatch:
Are oxblood nails a trend that you are feeling or is it a miss?

I like it, but I always feel like it doesn't look good on my hands because I have short nails. I would use it on my feet :)
ReplyDeleteI felt like that about white nails! But then I realised how chic they really looked!
