So on my Birthday (mark your diaries lads), Mr Mukherjee had the opening show for this seasons Lakme Fashion week and what a show it was. It was huge! 62 models. 105 outfits. Woah. And I loved about 3/5 of the collection.
Social Media has erupted with his horizontal crop tops and floral skirts. I mean, it's everywhere! It was a great use of mixed prints, and If I had a tummy worth showing (and my mother wouldn't give me disapproving looks), it would be a look I would love to rock.
It was a tribute to 70's fashion, where he reinvented the era with his own finishing touches. This collection had everything in it. Dresses to Saris, Black to Floral, Mini Dresses to Maxi Skirts, Capes to Boleros, with a few glittery sporty looks thrown in with the glitter numbered dresses.
"One of the most sought after designers in the country and around the globe; Sabyasachi unleashed a collection of resort wear that was mind boggling in form, colours, fabrics and textures."
I could go on explaining the looks, but come on, you really only want to look at the pictures don't you. GO AHEAD!
Oh that 2nd sari, with the draping and the glasses and the hair. Uffff.
