Wedding Diaries | Mehendi Style

We had a wedding to attend last weekend and of course it was an extravagant affair. If you follow us on Facebook then you would have seen what we wore already (we usually update our Facebook page much more reliably because let's be honest it's so much faster and easier.....so  like our page, we would like to friendship you :D ).

Nigar was going to wrap herself in a dhoti saree but then that plan went out the window on the night when she realised she would need to use the toilet at some point and she could not be bothered so opted for a normal saree in the end.

On her face:

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Barcelona
Nars Creamy Concealer in Ginger
Eyes done using Urban Decay Naked Palette 1
Highlight is TheBalm Cosmetics Mary Loumanizer
Gerard Cosmetics 1995 lipstick

Nigar picked up this saree a little while ago from Utsav and she has gotten so much use out of it. If you or you're family watches Star Plus then you've probably seen it making the rounds on a few dramas, and for good reason. While the saas and bahus have been wearing it to lounge around the house and plan their next schemes, it's good enough to wear to wear when looking for wedding guest outfits when your life isn't that melodramatic.

You can wear this with a different tops to change the look when repeating this saree; Nigar usually alternates between a purple crop top and a red crop top. You could also go for a green top or a gold one.

A simple braided updo finished off her look to give her a chic polished look.

A pair of gold dancing juttis; gone are the days when we used to punish our feet in heels for long periods of time for no reason, juttis (khussas) are our go to for Desi outfits. Complimentary, comfortable and classy. What more could you ask for!

Off to go dancing she goes.....

I'll leave you with a picture of both of us. It's rare to get both of us in a picture together so enjoy it......!

Stay tuned for more wedding posts tomorrow.

    1. Thanks Mesha!
Mine is a crop top from asos! Ive worn it backwars as I wantes a higher neck and lower back. Most of our saree blouses are just shop bought crop tops, or Kays mother in law sews them for us, but that's mostly for lengha blouses

      Hope that helped!
