One of the recommended books in Richard and Judy's Book Club was "The Girl On The Train". I picked up a copy with very little expectations, but ended up really liking it. Psychological thrillers are one of my favourite genres and the book lived up to that. The main character was somewhat of a flawed person, an alcoholic who was pretending to go to work daily to avoid telling her housemate that she had lost her job. I don't want to give anything away so if thrillers are your thing, then I recommend it.
Here's what to read after:
Gone Girl (the book's better than the movie)
Before I Go To Sleep (the movie is very good)
I would rate all these books between a 3 and a 4 out of 5.
If you've read most of these you'll know what the recurrent theme is for the perpetrator, I don't know how I feel about enjoying these reads (LOL). Makes you paranoid.
If you have any books to recommend then please leave them below as I've just finished my summer reading list in about 2 weeks.
